Modular totems
Play-on is a playful and poetic exploration of children’s games and modularity. Nothing is set in stone, everything is in motion. The project invites you to discover, experiment and freely assemble an infinite number of possible combinations. Inspired by educational games and the famous Duplo bricks of the 1970’s, Play-on celebrates simple, elementary shapes – the triangle, the square, the circle – as starting points for creating unexpected objects, surprising structures and new forms. The idea is to recapture the creative impulse of childhood: to learn by playing, to build by deconstructing, to hijack uses. Each module can be combined, nested and diverted – like a large Tetris – to create unique, sculptural objects. Play-on offers an open, no-holds-barred approach to design that allows you to invent your own rules of the game. It’s a way of desacralising the object and turning it into an infinite playground.
