Rare, on the fringes of the usual flow: MERMAID is a capsule collection that stands out as a step aside, a gentle dissonance. A delicate mutation, it unveils ceramic sculptures, made up, hybrids — where the material becomes skin, where the glossy varnish intensifies the gesture. The formal language asserts itself, more daring, more radical: a vibrant and sensual counterpoint.

Born from the abyss, these figures emerge from a liquid and iridescent imagination. Between artefact and creature, they evoke the shifting reflections of a fairy-tale world, halfway between the depths of the sea and dreams. Sublimated by a pearly lacquer finish, they bear the mark of a master craftsman in the art of transformation and bespoke design. Each piece, patiently crafted, captures the light with rare intensity, as if the colour were moving, changing, almost alive. The precise and controlled technique gives the material a depth and brilliance that transforms the object, giving it a precious and timeless aura. This finish, both rigorous and sensitive, plays with the ambiguity between craftsmanship and design, blurring the boundaries and revealing a hybrid and unique territory of expression. It is the troubled hour of metamorphosis…

Collection presented exclusively at the Galerie Pradier-Jeauneau for Paris Design Week 2025 at the Hôtel de la Marine, then at PAD London
